Purple people held in Rome on 5 December, a National Convention exactly one year from major event in December 2009. For the occasion, were invited, along with n members of various associations and movements, including political representatives of the "opposition" to Berlusconi. They were therefore present Diliberto (FDS), Bonelli (Verdi), Vita (PD), iron (PCL), and Staderini Pannella (PR). Joined on live television via web Vendola (Sel) and Di Pietro (Italy of Values). There was a lively passage of public debate that had, in its kind, an objective political significance: it was the front opposition to the intervention of the PCL Oliviero Diliberto. Immediately after the intervention of King David companion of the national secretariat Fiom-right focusing on issues of labor-Marco Ferrando argued the position of the PCL: putting the need for a radical alternative to Berlusconi, who breaks with the ruling classes and the policies of the last decades (including measures bipartisan, "voted on by all" in terms of combat missions, job insecurity, ...), and support to the Vatican claiming the failure of the left with the PD and the UDC. The paradox is that this intervention, the most applause of the day, was the subject of the attack front of the PD but not the spokesman of the left ... "Radical." Oliviero Diliberto, after declaring it legitimate to "not share a single word intervention of Steel "- did not match better than trying to harangue the audience against the PCL:" Now we have to beat Berlusconi, will discuss social issues then, you think I could ever ask seriously Bersani to abolish public funding for private school as Ferrando propose? ". The rhetorical question it expected an obvious answer. Instead the unwary speaker was overwhelmed by the deafening chorus "Siiiii ..." followed by a healthy dose of boos when the same-angry-ruined the audience replied: "Then Berlusconi wins ...".
This small episode includes many lessons. First explains how the ruling alliance with the bourgeois parties inevitably sacrifices even the most elementary democratic demands, and feel the movements. Secondly measure the loyalty of the Fed toward the center and in particular PD: their only concern is to be downloaded by Bersani (to profess this culture of government and ostentatious moderation, even at the price of some unexpected failure of the public). Thirdly reveals the profound contradiction that now crosses the same people antiberlusconiano, even in its democratic intellectual circles: between Gianfranco Mascia, leader of the People Viola, who openly claimed on stage 's "national unity" against Berlusconi (also with FLI) and wide areas of its baseline that express in their own way of turning a real question (even if it were mostly on the ground "democratic") and a strong polemic against the PD. In the fourth place shows that the proposal's public PCL is able to enter into this contradiction, by connecting a coherent democratic battle to the need for anti-capitalist class perspective and then to break with the bourgeois parties.
